Useful Competition Formats
Best Ball is a fun event for teams of 2, 3 or 4 players with varying skill levels. Each player on the team plays her own golf ball throughout the round, and on each hole the lowest net score of the group serves as the team score.
Scramble or Captain's Choice
A Scramble or Captain's Choice Scramble is a fun event for teams of 3 or 4 players with varying skill levels. Each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. The best of the second shots is determined, then all play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed.

Stableford is a scoring system that awards points in relation to net par. A bogey is worth 1 point, par 2 points, a birdie 3 points, and an eagle 4 points, etc. The player with the highest point total is the winner.
Triple Play Tournament
The tournaments a 2-person team playing 6 holes of better ball, 6 holes of scramble and 6 holes alternate shot. Each partner's drive must be used twice in the scramble portion of the tournament. Handicap will be determined by the Pro Shop. Gross and net will be paid and if sufficient number of teams enter, the tournament will be flighted. Entry is $15 per team.
Red, Gold and White Tournament
Red, Gold and White is the Spring Opening Tournament. The tournament is an 18 hole individual tournament played with a specified number of holes from the red, golf and white tees. It is a net tournament with the handicap determined by 100% of individual handicap x # of red tees, x # of gold tees, and x # of white tees.
The first day of play is an 18-hole individual tournament with handicaps at 95% of handicap. The second day of the tournament is also played as an individual tournament at 95% of the handicap. The final score of the tournament will be an 18-hole score with the best score from the two days as the score for that hole. The tournament will have both a gross winner and net winner (maybe multiple net winners depending on number of participants). Entry fee is $10 for the two-day tournament.
$5 Come and Play
There will be several $5 Saturday games during the year. Bring your $5 to play! Teams and games will be formed on the day of the tournament depending on number of participants. Current handicaps at 100% will be used to determine scores. Cash will be split among the winning teams at the end of the tournament. Those wishing to play will have to sign up by Monday of the week of the tournament so that we can secure tee times.
